One job fair, many different entry requirements

The 2026 second-half online recruitment fair for Samsung Electronics suppliers is scheduled from October 28 through November 15. More than 40 partners across electronics, mobile devices and semiconductors are expected to participate, including Dreamtech, Shinsung E&G, Air Products Korea, WiSol, Elentec, Intops and TSE.

But 'open to new graduates and experienced hires' describes the fair, not every vacancy. Banseog Search checked seven individual job postings on Saramin. Some accept high-school graduates with no experience; others require a bachelor's degree, specialized process knowledge or a decade of enterprise sales work.

The useful question for applicants is not how many firms attend, but which vacancy they can actually apply for and what they would do there.

Seven examples from the published job advertisements

MEK — entry-level production team member: high-school graduation or above, advertised annual pay KRW 43.2 million for a stated 40-hour week, based in Bucheon. Applicants should verify allowances and actual work conditions.

AIO — Assistant Engineer: entry-level position requiring a four-year degree, with electrical or electronic engineering among the preferred backgrounds; based in Yongin.

Gigalane — semiconductor equipment sales administration: two- or three-year college degree or higher, accepting new hires or up to two years' experience. The employer asks for spreadsheet/presentation skills and communication with customers and internal teams.

Korea Instrument — MEMS EP Engineer: bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as semiconductor, electronics or mechanical engineering, and understanding of MEMS processes. Its experienced-applicant bracket is separately listed as two to six years.

Shinsung E&G — AI solution development: bachelor's degree and at least three years of AI development experience, including Python-based data and model work. Experience in mobile robots or humanoids is a preferred, not mandatory, criterion.

TFE — HR and general affairs: a two- or three-year college degree or above. Its listing simultaneously displays 'entry-level/experienced' and 'three years or more', so entry-level eligibility should be checked with the employer.

Intops — ODM/EMS sales: four-year degree and at least ten years of experience; B2B manufacturing sales, supply-chain processes and mass-production project management are relevant qualifications.

This is a deliberately limited comparison of seven publicly posted vacancies, not an estimate of how all 40-plus participants recruit.

Semiconductor employment is not a single engineering track

Korea Instrument also lists a ProbeCard circuit-design role alongside its MEMS process engineering job. Even within one supplier, the role description and expertise differ.

Gigalane's position involves the commercial administration of semiconductor equipment, while Intops' ODM/EMS role concerns customer relationships and production-linked sales execution. These jobs are part of related industrial value chains, but they are not interchangeable.

Candidates should distinguish mandatory degrees and experience from preferred skills, and connect each posting to its actual product, process and customer-facing work.

An event for both new and experienced applicants does not make every role entry-level

MEK and AIO explicitly target new entrants. Gigalane includes new graduates and people with limited experience. Shinsung E&G and Intops, by contrast, ask for experienced professionals with specific track records.

TFE illustrates another practical problem: the headline categorization and experience requirement can point in different directions. Where they conflict, verify directly rather than assuming eligibility.

Recruitment into an independently managed Samsung supplier should not be confused with Samsung Electronics' own GSAT test or corporate hiring funnel. Each employer sets its own criteria and interview stages.

Fair closes November 15; briefing registration is separate

The fair is scheduled to run from October 28 to November 15, 2026, and applications are submitted through participating firms' postings on Saramin. Individual closing dates or availability may change.

University-distributed notices list a briefing for four-year college candidates on November 3 and for two- to three-year college candidates on November 4, beginning at 2 p.m. One university's separate notice gives a different ending time for November 3, so invited participants should confirm the details and preregistration requirements with their own organizer.

Participating in this fair is not an application to Samsung Electronics itself, and employment at a supplier does not imply a future transfer to the parent manufacturer's staff.

How to evaluate these vacancies

A smaller supplier can offer direct exposure to a particular process, tool, product or enterprise customer. The extent of that exposure, training, compensation and career progression depends on the specific employer and role.

The best comparison is therefore job-by-job: Am I actually eligible, what will I work on, and which identifiable capabilities could I develop? The fair's label alone cannot answer those questions.

Seven real ads span high-school entry-level manufacturing, graduate engineering, semiconductor equipment sales, specialized AI development and senior customer-facing sales. The fair's participation count says nothing about how many of these are suitable for a particular candidate.

Mandatory qualifications, experience ceilings, preferred skills and interview stages are employer-specific. Samsung supplier recruitment is separate from the Samsung Electronics GSAT process.

The examples represent a sample rather than all participants, and postings can change. Applicants should use the direct listings to verify current requirements, compensation and deadlines.

Prepared October 31, 2026 from Samsung Electronics supplier job-fair notices and seven original Saramin postings: MEK 55362949, AIO 55362670, Gigalane 55373740, Korea Instrument 55394230, Shinsung E&G 55388804, TFE 55376582 and Intops 55390835. The fair runs October 28-November 15 with approximately 40 participating suppliers. University circulars mention separate November 3 and 4 briefings, with a discrepancy in the ending time between notices; follow the organizer's instructions. The KRW 43.2m MEK salary is an advertisement figure; its pay composition has not been independently verified. TFE's entry-level/three-year wording needs clarification. No implication that supplier hiring is Samsung Electronics hiring or that seven listings represent all participants.
