Letting factories use robots without buying them
Expansion — broadening from subscription factory automation to general-purpose robots
- Founded in 2020, it is a full-service automation company for US manufacturers that runs a robots-as-a-service (RaaS) model, in which customers use robots as a service rather than buying them.
- As of October 2026 it reported more than 750,000 cumulative production hours, robots operating at more than 100 facilities in more than 30 US states, 99.6% uptime and a 97% customer renewal rate. At its June announcement the cumulative figure was 650,000 hours.
Decisions within a year
- June 11, 2026 it opened a 53,000-square-foot headquarters in Bolingbrook, Illinois, five times larger than before. Alongside palletizing, case packing and wrapping, it highlighted machine tending as a new application area.
- August 19, 2026 it opened its first West Coast site, more than 13,000 square feet, in Oakland, California. It is a robot factory and R&D center responsible for humanoid development and physical AI deployment.
- October 22, 2026 it raised USD 50 million in a Series B led by Mercato Partners and said it would use the funds to expand general-purpose robots and to enter metal fabrication, aerospace, defense, medical and energy.
People they will look for
- Robot cell field integration engineers — installing and commissioning palletizing and machine tending cells at more than 100 customer plants in the US
- Robot fleet operations and remote support engineers — the core of a subscription model that promises 99.6% uptime
- General-purpose and humanoid robot application engineers — the general-purpose robot business being expanded through the Oakland R&D center and the Series B
For hiring managers
In Korea, the same robot cell integration talent is sought by both robot system integrators and the production engineering teams of food, consumer goods and automotive plants. This company is centered on US sites, so for Korean talent a US posting is a prerequisite; now, as it opens new sites, is the time to bring in experienced people.
For job seekers
Experience installing palletizing, case packing and machine tending cells and taking responsibility for their uptime, along with robot integration experience and the ability to work at US sites, is what this company values most right now.
