BMW names Qualcomm its lead compute-silicon provider for future cockpit and automated-driving programs
Qualcomm and BMW announced a major agreement covering Snapdragon Cockpit and Snapdragon Ride compute silicon for next-generation digital-cockpit and ADAS/AD programs through the next decade.
Why it matters
The agreement gives Qualcomm a long-horizon role in BMW's future vehicle compute architecture, but the release ties model programs to the next decade and should not be read as evidence that all current BMW vehicles already use the announced platforms.
