NVIDIA invests in SB Energy and secures initial 4.25 GW of Ohio AI-campus capacity
NVIDIA announced a partnership with SB Energy for the PORTS-Pike Technology Campus in Ohio, including a $1.5 billion investment in SB Energy and credit support to secure an initial 4.25 IT-GW of land, power and shell capacity for NVIDIA AI compute; OpenAI is the customer for the campus capacity.
Why it matters
The arrangement links NVIDIA compute supply with power and data-center buildout at multi-gigawatt scale, but the guaranteed initial scope is 4.25 IT-GW with an option on the remaining 3.75 IT-GW; the full 8 IT-GW campus should not be described as already completed or fully secured under the same terms.
