Renesas restores Kawashiri wafer input to pre-earthquake capacity
Renesas said its Kawashiri Factory in Kumamoto returned to pre-earthquake wafer-input capacity on the evening of August 23 after phased production resumed on August 4.
Why it matters
Restoring pre-earthquake wafer-input capacity indicates that the factory recovered its input-side production capacity after the interruption, while not by itself proving that downstream output, yield, inventory or customer shipments had all returned to pre-earthquake levels at the same moment.
