GlobalFoundries and RAAAM partner to develop GCRAM on FDX
GlobalFoundries and RAAAM Memory Technologies announced a strategic collaboration to develop and qualify GCRAM on the FDX platform, reported a successful GCRAM test-vehicle tape-out, and said lead-customer design access is planned for early 2027.
Why it matters
The companies report 40% memory-area shrink and up to 60% memory-power reduction compared with commodity SRAM, targeting denser and lower-power on-chip memory; lead-customer design access is planned for early 2027.
