BANSEOG OUTLOOK

Hanwha Robotics finds its next workplaces outside the factory, in its own group's hotels and kitchens

Hanwha Robotics was set up in October 2023 jointly by Hanwha Corporation and Hanwha Hotels & Resorts. So a hotel company is among the backers of this robot maker. In 2023 it signed a building management robot agreement with the hotel affiliate. In 2024 it showed a wine robot that learned the motions of a sommelier at The Plaza, and it has developed cooking robots with Hanwha Foodtech, launched in 2024. In August 2026 Ourhome was reported to be pursuing cooking automation with collaborative robots. On the factory side, its main work is welding and machine tending. Banseog reads a habit here: when it picks work outside the factory, it starts in the group's own sites. That is why Banseog sees turning robots trained on group sites into products outside customers can buy as the next challenge.

Banseog analysis
The next company challengeTake robots quickly trained in the group's own workplaces, such as hotels, kitchens and shipyards, and organize them into standard products and installation methods outside customers can adopt, so that experience on affiliate sites becomes a sales asset for the whole company.
Questions before joining
  1. Is this product's first site at an affiliate or an outside customer?
  2. When affiliate and outside customer needs clash, who sets product priorities?
  3. Does this role sit in the factory business or the service business?
Trials on affiliate sitesA robot a cook can use

If Ourhome's cooking automation takes shape, designing how a robot is used, cleaned and fixed in a kitchen with no robot specialists may become important.

More sales outside the groupPutting affiliate cases in outside terms

The company has said it wants to grow installation work for outside clients. Moving needs shaped by group sites into standards other companies can accept may become a bigger task.

Factories and services side by sideOne arm for two markets

If the same robot arm serves both welding sites and kitchens, how to divide product schedules and support teams may become important. These are conditional stages, not confirmed dates or hiring plans.

CAREER LENS

Experience settling robots into the workplaces of people who do not know robots

Beyond factory installation, look for times you got people new to robots, such as cooks or facility managers, to use them every day. Adjacent experience suggests connections, not eligibility or a personal-fit verdict.

Experience to show in your career history

✓

Installing automation outside factories, such as kitchens, hotels or buildings

✓

Building procedures and training for non-specialist staff

✓

Observing work done by people and breaking it into robot motions

✓

Organizing custom work for one customer into a standard for others

✓

Running equipment on sites with strict hygiene or safety rules

✓

Connecting the needs of group or in-house customers to outside product planning
