BANSEOG OUTLOOK
Maum AI runs its robots the way it learned to run call centers
Maum AI started in 2014 with speech recognition technology contributed by Korea's ETRI research institute and has worked on AI contact centers since 2016. In 2019 it described the AI contact center as its main source of steady income, and its Korail voice bot is presented as a setup where AI takes simple inquiries so human agents can focus on helping passengers with disabilities or handling delays. The robot business it described in an August 2026 CEO interview has the same shape. Instead of selling robots it plans to offer them as a service from 2027, with one person remotely operating one robot at first and then managing several. The security robots it agreed to supply to Namwon in late 2025 also came bundled with a control system. Banseog reads the company's habit as not stopping at delivering a machine: it divides work so AI takes the easy part and people take the hard part, then steadily raises what one person can cover. That is why Banseog sees designing the moment a robot hands work to a person as the next talent challenge.
- Who sets the criteria for a robot handing work to a person, and how are they changed?
- How are remote operators' intervention records used to train the next model?
- Is this role evaluated on deliveries or on operating metrics?
The company plans to develop its robots-as-a-service business in earnest from 2027. Since one person covers one robot at first, setting the standards and record formats for remote operation may become important.
NAVICOM, its security robot module, is described as fitting quadruped robots from different makers and managing them from one web dashboard. As robot types grow, a design that runs them through the same procedures may grow as work.
The company describes the stage where one person manages several robots as central to its revenue structure. Criteria that identify situations truly needing human intervention may become important. These are conditional stages, not confirmed dates or hiring plans.

FUTURE TALENT SHIFT
How responsibilities may expand
Follow the responsibility that runs from one task a robot hands to a person to training material for the next model. Check individual postings for actual duties and qualifications.
CAREER LENS
Experience designing the handoff between people and machines
Beyond what a machine did well, look for times you can explain how a person took over when it stopped. Adjacent experience suggests connections, not eligibility or a personal-fit verdict.
Experience to show in your career history
Setting criteria for what AI handles and what goes to a person
Building procedures for remote operation or control work
Sorting operating records so they improved a model
Shrinking a field AI model and getting it onto a real device
Bringing different equipment into one management screen
Delivering and operating AI systems for public institutions or large companies
Where adjacent experience can lead
Work on service quality and escalation criteria can connect to designing robot remote operation.
Running many aircraft with few people is the connection.
Designing voice-driven features can connect to how robots take instructions.
Experience running models on limited devices.
Patrol and incident procedures can connect to security robot services.
Delivering to institutional requirements and security standards.
Questions before joining
- Who sets the criteria for a robot handing work to a person, and how are they changed?
- How are remote operators' intervention records used to train the next model?
- Is this role evaluated on deliveries or on operating metrics?
- How far do the contact center and robot businesses share teams and technology?
- In a robot service contract, how is responsibility for site incidents or stoppages defined?

Work connected across locations
These interpretations use publicly reported locations and business activities. They do not describe regional hiring plans or current staffing.
The headquarters a Thai transport delegation visited in September 2026 is in Pangyo. This reads as where contact center and robot technology are presented together, with no estimate of current team structure or size.
A December 2025 report covered a contract to supply 10 sets of SORA security robots and a control system for a Namwon city project. This reads as a case of delivering robots and operations together, without presuming staffing.
At a Seoul National University Siheung campus event, JINDO BOT Guard found a fallen worker and flooding and reported them to a manager. This reads as a scene of handing work to a person, without presuming adoption scale.
The company has developed security robots with Hatari Group since July 2025 and is reported to be discussing a local production contract. This reads as where the operating model crosses a border, without presuming the outcome.
