Lotte Chilsung Beverage — filling the gap left by slowing domestic demand with exports and overseas subsidiaries
- Where it stands now
- Structural improvement — refining costs and productivity while seeking growth overseas and in new alcoholic beverage products
In 2025 consolidated revenue was KRW 3.9711 trillion (−1.3%) and operating profit KRW 167.2 billion (−9.6%). The global division, which includes the subsidiaries in the Philippines, Pakistan and Myanmar, grew revenue to KRW 1.53 trillion (+9.5%).
In the first half of 2026 consolidated revenue was KRW 2.0654 trillion (+3.4%) and operating profit KRW 103.6 billion (+18.6%). Beverage exports rose 9.8%, and revenue from ready-to-drink (RTD) alcoholic products rose 143.3%.
- Three decisions within a year
- 2026 targets: the company has set targets of KRW 4.1 trillion in revenue and KRW 200 billion in operating profit, and is pursuing structural improvement to raise productivity and cost competitiveness along with global market expansion.
- AI export sales: an AI agent cut the time needed to find new overseas buyers from 50 hours to about 3 hours (August 2026), and the company plans to extend it across sales management.
- Alcoholic beverage lineup refresh: the alcohol content of 'Chum Churum', marking 20 years since launch, was lowered to 15.7%, and in October 2026 'Captain Q' was relaunched 11 years after it was discontinued.
- Three people it will look for
- Overseas sales and export development — exports to more than 50 countries and new buyers found through AI need to be turned into actual deals
- Global subsidiary manager — the subsidiaries in the Philippines, Pakistan and Myanmar have become an important pillar of the company's profit
- Production and cost innovation leader — the structural improvement centered on productivity and cost that the company has set out needs to be carried out
- For HR
- Overseas subsidiary managers and export sales talent are sought by major beverage and food companies alike. It is best to finish hiring before the year-end review of annual targets.
- For job seekers
- Experience running a consumer goods subsidiary in Southeast or South Asia, or reducing costs at a domestic plant, is worth the most at this company right now.
