Namyang Dairy Products — a dairy company back in the black after a change of owner
- Where it stands now
- Recovery — having regained profitability after the 2024 transition to Hahn & Company ownership, building new revenue from protein products and exports
2025 revenue fell 4.1% to KRW 914.1 billion, but operating profit of KRW 5.2 billion was the first annual profit in five years.
In the first half of 2026 revenue was KRW 483.2 billion (+7.9%) and operating profit KRW 1.8 billion (+79.5%). Over the same period overseas revenue grew 169% and revenue from the protein brand 'Take Fit' grew 76.1%.
- Three decisions within a year
- After management control passed to Hahn & Company in January 2024, the company brought in professional management and set up a compliance committee with outside experts.
- Wider export range: it supplies infant formula to Vietnam and Take Fit and sterilized milk to Kazakhstan, and also exports coffee products.
- Product segmentation: Take Fit was split into three tiers by protein content, and the company launched small-size cup coffee and new cheese products.
- Three people it will look for
- Overseas sales manager (Southeast Asia and Central Asia) — someone to lock in sharply increased overseas revenue through country-by-country distribution
- Protein and functional product developer — continuing to widen the Take Fit line
- Brand and marketing leader — as the share of white milk declines, someone to grow the brands that are growing
- For HR
- Other dairy companies and health beverage companies are looking for the same protein product development and overseas sales talent. This is the point at which people are being assigned to growth businesses after the return to profit, so it is best to fill key roles before next year's business plan.
- For job seekers
- Experience launching protein drinks or infant formula tailored to overseas markets, and experience rebuilding ways of working at a company whose management structure has changed, are worth the most right now.
