Nongshim — A company whose export plant sets its next hiring
- Where it stands now
- Overseas expansion — filling a stagnant domestic market with overseas subsidiaries and an export-only plant
In the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue was KRW 1.8901 trillion (+7.3%) and operating profit KRW 126.7 billion (+31.7%).
Revenue from overseas subsidiaries in the first half rose 26.8% year on year to KRW 641.4 billion, and their share of total revenue rose to 33.9%.
On Korea's National Pension Service public workplace data, 5,102 people were on the pension register in August 2026. That is 146 more (2.9%) than in October 2025; in the same period 839 people joined and 709 left.
- Three decisions within a year
- Noksan export-only plant, Busan: it is being built for about KRW 191.8 billion and is designed to make 500 million packs of ramen a year on three lines at first, expandable to up to eight lines. Completion is targeted for November, and once complete, export production capacity will rise to 1.2 billion packs a year.
- Expanding overseas subsidiaries: it set up 'Nongshim Europe' in the Netherlands in March 2025 and a Russian subsidiary covering the CIS region in June 2026. The goal is to grow European revenue to about KRW 400 billion by 2030.
- Management change: President Cho Yong-chul became CEO following the regular shareholders' meeting in March 2026.
- Three people it will look for
- Export plant production and quality leaders — someone to start up the new Noksan plant and lead its expansion to up to eight lines
- Sales and distribution managers for the European and Russian subsidiaries — someone to widen the customers and channels of the newly established subsidiaries
- Export demand and supply planning and logistics — someone to match export volumes for many countries gathered in Busan to each country's demand
- For HR
- Other ramen and food companies expanding overseas production bases are also looking for people with export plant operations and European sales experience. From now, as the Noksan plant starts operating, until year-end is the time to fill line leader and overseas subsidiary roles.
- For job seekers
- Experience starting up a new food plant, or opening up distribution in European or CIS markets, is worth the most at this company right now.
