Rinnai Korea — regaining profit and reaching out to younger consumers
- Where it stands now
- Recovery — rebuilding the brand with auto-cooking and AIoT products while profit grows again
2025 revenue was KRW 294.0 billion, up from KRW 276.7 billion in 2023, and operating profit grew about 2.7 times over the same period, from KRW 3.2 billion to KRW 8.6 billion.
In the 2026 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI), it ranked first in the gas range category for the 27th consecutive year.
Korea's National Pension Service public workplace data shows 703 people on the pension register in August 2026, down 18 (2.5%) from October 2025. Over that period 48 people joined and 70 left as staff were redeployed.
- Three decisions within a year
- Auto-cooking range service: On March 25, 2026 it signed an agreement with Ottogi to create an 'Ottogi Corner' in the Rinnai app, offering cooking settings matched to the '3-Minute Meals', 'Oz Kitchen' and 'soups and stews' products, along with links to purchase them.
- Youth work projects: On September 21, 2026 it launched the Seoul Business Agency's 'Saessak Work Challenge', giving about 30 young people in their twenties projects on auto-cooking gas range content, an integrated marketing strategy for electric ranges, and an ESG campaign for eco-friendly boilers.
- Generative AI advertising: On October 13, 2026 it signed an agreement with the intercollegiate club PostUniv to hold a contest for creating AIoT boiler and auto-cooking range advertisements with AI. The contest starts on November 7, awards are given on December 12, and prize money totals about KRW 10 million.
- Three people it will look for
- Digital marketing and content — content from the AI advertising contest and youth projects has to be carried into official channels and online advertising
- App and service planning — food companies' recipes and purchase links need to keep being added to the auto-cooking range app
- Kitchen appliance product planning — the gas range, electric range and AIoT boiler lines need to be refined for a new generation of consumers
- For HR
- Kitchen appliance product planners and app service planners are sought by large appliance makers and specialist kitchen appliance companies alike. With staff being redeployed now, it is best to fill marketing and service roles first, before the winter heating season and the year-end contest results.
- For job seekers
- Service planning experience linking recipes or commerce to an appliance app, or a track record running digital campaigns for younger consumers, is worth the most at this company right now.
