Ohouse — From a home decor app to a company that also takes on renovation work
- Where it stands now
- Transition — a loss-making investment phase that bets growth beyond commerce on renovation, membership and AI
2025 revenue exceeded KRW 300 billion for the first time at KRW 321.5 billion (+11.7%), but operating results swung from a KRW 0.6 billion profit in 2024 to a KRW 14.7 billion loss. The Singapore furniture platform Hipvan posted a net loss of KRW 4.2 billion; cash and equivalents are about KRW 240 billion, with no external borrowing.
Revenue from interior renovation transactions grew more than 3.5 times in 2025, and about 400 partners use the standard contracts and quotes of 'Ohouse Standard'.
On Korea's National Pension Service public workplace data, 692 people were on the pension register in August 2026, 36 fewer (−4.9%) than in October 2025. The company has said it will work AI-first and 'grow several businesses with a small team'. The renovation subsidiary and overseas subsidiaries are excluded from this figure.
- Three decisions within a year
- Direct entry into renovation: in 2025 it invested KRW 3 billion in the renovation subsidiary Ohouse Construction to take on partial renovation directly, and in May 2026 launched 'Lite', a subscription for small contractors (list price KRW 200,000 a month), which passed 100 subscribing firms in six weeks.
- Bundling moving customers: in October 2026 its first consumer membership, 'Moving Pass' (KRW 30,000 for 180 days), tied together furniture, renovation, moving and move-in cleaning. In 2025 it made seven strategic investments totaling more than KRW 20 billion, including a 25% stake in the furniture brand RareRaw.
- AI and overseas: it has designated 2026 as the year to accelerate growth with AI and announced a shift to an 'AI-Native organization'. It invested an additional KRW 3.9 billion in Japan in 2025 and is improving delivery by renting a local logistics center.
- Three people it will look for
- Renovation operations and on-site quality control — moving from brokerage to direct renovation brings on-site responsibility to the company
- B2B SaaS sales and partner managers — expanding the contractor subscription 'Lite' and Standard partners
- AI and data engineers and product managers — 3D planner, automation of quotes and recommendations
- For HR
- This company is cutting headcount while adding businesses, so each person covers a wide scope. For roles that are hard to fill with platform experience alone, such as renovation operations, it is faster to look separately for people from construction and interior sites.
- For job seekers
- If you have experience in interior site management, SaaS sales to small businesses, or AI product planning, it overlaps with where Ohouse most needs people right now.
