Kris F&C — stacking an outdoor layer on top of golfwear
- Where it stands now
- Transition — shifting weight from golfwear to international outdoor brands
The company runs eight brands: golfwear including PING, PEARLY GATES, St Andrews, Fantom and MASTER BUNNY EDITION, plus outdoor brands HYDROGEN, Mammut and and wander.
In July 2025 it transferred a 25% stake (16.88 million shares) in its apparel OEM affiliate Ontide, lowering its holding from 33.26% to 8.26%; the company said it would use the funds to expand in overseas markets and build its outdoor brands.
Korea's National Pension Service public workplace data shows 267 people on the pension register in August 2026, down 13 (4.6%) from October 2025. Over that period 106 people joined and 113 left.
- Three decisions within a year
- HYDROGEN enters China: on July 10, 2025 the company signed a contract with global partner BrandDNA, creating a third Asian base after Japan (GINZA SIX, Hankyu Osaka, Omotesando Hills) and Hong Kong (SOGO Causeway Bay flagship), and from spring/summer 2026 it is strengthening sports categories such as tennis and running.
- Expanding Mammut for 26FW: a pop-up ran at Lotte World Mall from September 10 to October 21, 2026, and four of the seven items in the Junya Watanabe collaboration capsule released on September 24 were launched in Korea in limited quantities.
- Mammut × UNDERMYCAR collaboration: on October 6, 2026 seven items including down and windshell jackets were released and went on sale simultaneously offline, at stores such as Hyundai Department Store Pangyo, Lotte Department Store Jamsil and Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong, and through online channels.
- Three people it will look for
- Overseas business and global partner management lead — must jointly run HYDROGEN's bases in China, Japan and Hong Kong
- Outdoor merchandiser (MD) — must plan functional seasonal products for Mammut and and wander within a golfwear-centered organization
- Brand marketing and collaboration planning lead — must keep collaborations with designers and Korean brands and pop-ups going every season
- For HR
- Outdoor MDs and collaboration planners are also sought by other sports fashion companies growing outdoor and running brands. With winter-season collaborations in full swing, now is the time to secure the MD who will plan the next season.
- For job seekers
- A record of growing an imported outdoor brand in Korea, or of opening stores together with an overseas partner, is what this company values most right now.
